Happy birthday to my Cuzzo @lasean_absolute the really fly elf in the photo. You might not know him personally but dude has been by my side every single art show, every single live performance, every album release, every show set up and through the creation of every song ever! He is responsible for the photos that ended up being the covers for the December LP series. Anything you have ever seen or heard from me went through this dude first to get approved, so pretty much he executive produced everything I’ve ever made. If he said it was wack it got trashed lol he is really the only true day one day one supporter, from recording in my closet with a 30 dollar mic when we was in high school. Dude is the steel I get sharp on. I know I fuck with you 24/7 BUT I can say this if you weren’t here I probably woulda never started rapping let alone got to this level cause hearing you out rap me back in the day made me want to get better and better until I could beat you lol idk what the future holds but we gone show em what that Matthews blood can do. Enjoy your day my nigga!

Painter painting in our land pictures of only white angels
Painter painting in our time in shadows of yesterday

Painter, if you paint with love, paint me some black angels now
For all good blacks in heaven, painter show us that you care

I think I did good for 22. Released two amazing albums I produced, mixed and mastered. Shown work in 9 exhibitions. 3 solo exhibitions. Shown art in galleries I never thought I’d get into and was blessed enough to work with the Brooks Museum. I Finally got my own place. Finally got to a place where I’m making money doing what I love (not where I want to be yet) but it’s a blessing none the less. Got one step closer to marrying my fiancé. Anyone that knows me knows I constantly stress about my future and work like crazy to reach goals. I always feel like I’m running out of time because when you’re working toward something the time slides by so fast but I been able to sit and reflect and I’m doing pretty decent for 22. I’m nowhere near where I want to be because I have soooo many ideas I haven’t got out and I haven’t got to a big enough audience to create the change I want but I’m doing ok. Pretty much everything I’ve done the last few years I never would have thought I’d be doing 4 years ago if you asked me. I’m excited to see 23. I know what I’m capable of and I only plan on getting better at everything I do. Like I said the audience might not be there yet but I am… And as long as I’m here doing what I do it matters. Super thankful and humbled to see another year, nothing but a blessing top to bottom. I coulda fell off the deep end along time ago.

Happy 23rd birthday to me!

5 years ago today this classic was released. This album changed my life and for the first time I felt there was a rapper that I could completely relate to top to bottom. This is the college dropout for weirdos.

Tool - Third Eye

I’ve listened to this song AT LEAST 6-7 times today, which as an almost 14min song means I’ve dedicated about a good solid hour and a half of my day to it.

Which is alright because it’s a really good song.

Hey, White America, You Need To Hear What These Ferguson Kids Have To Say

In a new video from social justice-oriented T-shirt company FCKH8, several Ferguson children lampoon the excuses white people give to avoid getting involved in ending discrimination in America and deliver a call to action to stomp out racism.

Watch the full video and see these kids explain how racism is still a huge part of even getting an interview for a job.

THIS IS THE SHIT

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS!

this is my favorite thing ever

Protests today in Ferguson

#ArrestDarrenWilson, #JusticeforMikeBrown, #BlackLivesMatter, #Ferguson

I am so for this. Literally millions of vehicles travel I-70 every day; maybe it should be blocked off every day until shit gets done. People will sure as hell start paying attention again if the delivery trucks aren’t getting to the Walmarts to stock their fucking Doritos and Mt. Dew.

SHUT SHIT DOWN!! DON’T LET AMERICA FORGET!!!

Ferguson -2014

I blinked one day and when I opened my eyes, it was normal to have an American army battling Americans on American streets. No one even calls it a war. But it is.

Don’t forget this crazy shit actually happened.

Don’t forget this shit is STILL happening

reminder: ferguson and palestine are still happening and are still important even though there’s less attention being paid to them right now

this also applies to the missing school girls kidnapped by Boko Haram in Nigeria!
